Pakistan Computer Association (PCA) was established in December 2000 as an autonomous, non political, non partisan, non-profitable and service oriented organization. The Computer Association has been formed with the involvement of professionals, specialists, manufacturers, institutions and the related organization of Computer and Information Technology within the country.
Objectives
- To assist in the utilization, enhancement and promotion of computers and
information technology within the country and help to develop strategies to meet
the necessary requirements for the development of literacy and skills regarding
computer science.
- To provide and protect the necessary rights and privileges, benefits to
individuals, institutions, companies and organizations affiliated to the
activities of PCA.
- To provide support and facilities to all general, corporate and honorary
members of PCA.
Activities
-To exchange knowledge, skill and technology in the field of Computer and
information technology with similar types of organizations within and outside
the country
- To assist in the field of technology transfer, export, import and formulation
of national policies.
-To assist in the institutional development of Computer Technology.
- To assist and develop the synchronization and standardization in the field of
computer training and education.
- To develop coordination among computer professionals with their services.
- To organize and conduct seminars, workshops, talk and training programs and to
provide consultancy and R & D services.
Lahore: Pakistan Computer industry has facilitated Raffles Pvt. Limited on securing Prime Minister of Pakistan Gold Medal Award and the Business Man of the Year Trophy to M Ibrahim Qurshi, the director of the company. The award and trophy has been awarded as acknowledgment of the outstanding achievements of the company in the field of Information Technology. While representing Raffles Pvt. Limited, M Ibrahim qureshi received the award from Yousaf Raza Gilani during a special ceremony held here on the other day. Salman Taseer the Governor of Punjab, Raja Riaz, Senior Minister Punjab and Mohammad Ali Mian, the President of Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry were also present on the occasion.
M Ibrahim qureshi, who secured the Business Man of The Year Trophy as well, is also president of Pakistan computer Association (PCA) Lahore Chapter. Commenting on the achievement, Mr. Qureshi said that this is a very big achievement for him and his company as we were the First Computer hardware Company in Pakistan to achieve this recognition.
Meanwhile, Munawar Iqbal, the president of PCA and other office bearers of the association have warmly facilitated Mr. Ibrahim Qureshi on this significant achievement and termed a result of sheer hard work of Mr. Qureshi and his team. Ends
